What can I say about the Team Corally Syncro 4 RTR? It is Good, Good.  This is another Model that needs to be seen in Person. When you pick it up you can tell it is a quality item. We visited Rochester RC in search of fun and that is what we found. The Syncro 4 is a relatively new model to the scene but I predict it will go big. Initially, we looked at the Typhon 4s but it did not seem as good. The Team Corally Syncro 4 seems to be a price point below where it should be. This is a model that sells for £315.00 and for this, you get a lot of specifications. The first thing that grabbed our attention on inspection was the metal chassis as standard.

It is impressive. you can feel the weight of this 1/8 Monster. the radio gear seemed very light and at first, I was not impressed but it has grown on me after use. Everything responds as it should there is a nice setting for 50% power which, is still fast. team Corally has put a lot of good quality Components in this car starting with the Speed Controller (ESC) which is a Torox 135A which is 3s and 4s compatible and it can handle the power with a smooth touch.  This ESC is a £90 component in the retail environment. The Motor is a Kuron 725, 2150kV, 4-Pole Brushless Motor which gives a good kick when linked to the 4s battery.

Great Fun with the Corally Syncro 4

We have had great fun and this car moves. It has all metal gearing and a Central mounted motor and differential, making it a very stable drive with good agility. We ran the Team Corally Syncro 4 on grass, mud, tarmac, and the sand at Dymchurch beach and, it handled every surface well. You can see from the image that our Corally has been well and truly bashed. We took the Corally to our local outdoor track at Chattenden which was abandoned a long time ago and, ran it on the track. It is fair to say the Syncro 4 was a bit too fast for this kind of track and not ideally suited to this surface. this buggy needs to be bashed as it can take it.

Run your eyes over the impressive spec list.

Team Corally Syncro 4 Suspension

team Corally Syncro 4 Suspension on the rear The Suspension on the Team Corally Syncro 4 is smooth and strong with a Composite protector for the top of each oil-filled damper.  It has been tested on our model with multiple jumps and crashes. I can say it has never let us down.

Almost unbreakable

We have experienced some pretty extreme crashes with the Syncro 4. There have been jumps directly into posts, cartwheels, and kerb hits and the Corally Syncro 4 takes them in its stride. It seemed that it could not be broken until the unthinkable happened. Another group member purchased another Corally Syncro 4 and was new to RC. Unfortunately, this resulted in two Syncros having a full-speed head-on crash. This resulted in some damage to a suspension lower arm mount. Luckily the Syncro 4 uses 80% of the parts from other Corally models and the parts are readily available to order.

In Conclusion

You can’t argue with the value of this car. It sits well in the marketplace at £315.00 and although this is around £30 cheaper than the Typhon it is supposed to compete with, I think it is good enough to compete with model 1 or 2 levels up in the price range. It is more like a £500 cat for £315 making the Corally Syncro 4 a bargain. The quality components used and the approach to quality make it a very serious 1/8 Buggy. You get a lot of car for the money. If you want more information or other reviews then drop us a line.
